Swordsmanship

The more dexterity your character has the faster you will get gains, especially with Golem training. Also, use the fastest sword you can find while training to additionally increase your rate of skill gain.

0 - 40: Buy from Jockles The Swordsmanship Instructor in New Haven [New Haven Special Places - Warrior's Guild].

40 - 50: Complete the Swordsmanship New Player Quest given by Jockles The Swordsmanship Instructor in New Haven [New Haven Special Places - Warrior's Guild].

50 - 70: Fight skeletons.

70 - 80: Fight Lizardmen. The 1st floor of Despise is great for this.

80 - 120: Train with a GM-made Golem

  1. Get a GM-made pet Golem and a 100% poison sword or other weapon with "Use Best Weapon Skill" on it. Make sure the weapon does not have any form of hit spell property on it.
  2. Join a guild or make a new one. Golem training only works when you are guilded.
  3. Go somewhere safe with your Golem.
  4. Say "all follow me".
  5. Say "all guard me".
  6. Say "all kill" and target yourself.
  7. As fast as you can spam "all stop" until the Golem quits hitting you. The end result should be that you are hitting the Golem, but it is just standing there. If you character has enough Chivalry to cast Divine Fury, keeping it up while training will keep your stamina high and your swing rate at its maximum.
